Lady of Light (Thought I haaad uploaded this but apparantly I have not :). Done bout 6 months ago now I think? ) 10 points if you recognize who I modelled her after. That's right Galadriel from LOTR. There was one photo in particular of Galadriel that always stuck in my mind, and so I wanted to pay Galadriel Homage in animal form. I am rather proud of the piece, shortcomings and all. It is one I got rather attached to. Celtic knotwork..eh could use a lot of work...I was actually quite lazy with it and just freehanded it instead of lanning ahead. An otter girl, a quick sketch on 9x12 bristol for the Anthrocon 2006 art show. I actually had fun doing this one, it wasn't meant to be perfect or flawless but just fun and a little break from building stress..and it certainly achieved that. Yes I am putting a lot of my pencil work in my scraps..not because I view them as scraps but because sometimes the work I secretly love I like to hide away where less scrutinizing eyes are likely to see. I am not perfect and sometimes all the criticism I get on some pieces actually gets me quite down..seems silly but sometimes I still feel quite small in the big ocean of deviant.. Plus I actually value the comments and faves I receive on my scraps more than on my deviations..its simple..you actually took the time to look at all the art I do..and I am humbled and honored by that. My first rendering of a new character, a black snow leopard by the name of Zhed, which unless I am horribly mistaken roughly translates to 'Fear' in tibetan. Size: 38 x24 inches at 250 dpi. The psd ended up being well over 500mb in size. Time taken: ehm I really havent a clue, in excess of 30 hours..at the very least. Prints: yes (pm me if interested in 8x10 at 10$ plus shipping). Larger limited edition prints available at conventions. Watermark: sorry folks, I really don't want someone making money off my time and effort...though I hate watermarking my work.
